Another name has surfaced in the Atlanta Falcons’ search for a new defensive coordinator. According to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the team will interview Pittsburgh Steelers secondary coach Grady Brown on Friday.
The Steelers finished eighth in points allowed (20.4) last season, allowing 228 passing yards per game. The defense recorded 17 interceptions and 40 sacks. Brown joined Pittsburgh’s coaching staff in 2021 after spending one season at Old Dominion as the co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach.
Before that, Brown was the defensive backs coach at South Carolina for four seasons (2012-2015) and the cornerbacks coach at Southern Mississippi from 2010 to 2011.
