Kirk Cousins seems to be progressing from his torn Achilles just fine.

He’s getting back into game shape after missing a chunk of the 2023 season with a torn Achilles. Before the injury, he was having one of the best seasons of his career, compiling 2,331 yards through the air, 18 touchdowns, and only five interceptions.
He was on pace to have over 30 touchdowns if he was able to play in the other nine games during the regular season.
Cousins will try and get back to that level now that he’s a member of the Falcons. The Falcons signed him to a four-year $180 million contract during free agency and are set to have him be their starting quarterback.
Yes, they did draft Michael Penix Jr. in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft last Thursday but he’s still going to sit behind Cousins for at least one year, if not two.
Cousins will try and get the Falcons back to the playoffs in 2024 after they finished the 2023 season with a 7-10 record.
