The Atlanta Falcons are quietly pulling away from the rest of the division after recording their sixth win of the season in Week 9. With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers losing to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, the Falcons now hold a two-game lead in the NFC South.
The Carolina Panthers got a rare win, pulling off a one-point victory over the New Orleans Saints to move into third place in the division. After starting the season 2-0, the Saints have lost their last seven games.
New Orleans fired head coach Dennis Allen on Monday and named Darren Rizzi the interim coach for 2024. The Falcons will attempt to give the struggling Saints their eighth consecutive loss when they face off in Week 10.
