The 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year could be on the move this offseason. Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett formally requested a trade this week and just about every team in the league should have some level of interest.
While the Atlanta Falcons need a difference-making pass rusher, Garrett wants to play for a contender. Since the team has missed the playoffs every year since 2018, Atlanta may not be on Garrett’s radar.
According to Draft Kings’ odds, the Falcons are not among the favorites to trade for the former No. 1 overall pick. Atlanta has the 18th-best odds (+2800) of landing Garrett.
Best odds to land Garrett in 2025:
- Browns (+300)
- Commanders (+450)
- Raiders (+650)
- Lions (+750)
- Patriots (+850)
The Browns remain committed to retaining their star defender and Draft Kings ranks Cleveland as Garrett’s most likely team in 2025. The Falcons pulled off a trade for edge rusher Matthew Judon last offseason but the veteran didn’t have the impact many expected.
Garrett, 29, has been to six Pro Bowls and was voted to the All-Pro team four times over his eight-year NFL career. He’s racked up 102.5 sacks, 200 QB hits and 116 tackles for a loss since entering the league in 2017.
