Collin Sexton a potential Lakers trade target?

The Los Angeles Lakers are not new to getting linked to names in free agency. Take for example the names recently mentioned by Jonathan Givony, who floated up the names of Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray and Utah Jazz court general Collin Sexton as potential trade additions to Los Angeles, which is looking to fortify the supporting cast of LeBron James and Anthony Davis heading into the franchise’s first season under new head coach JJ Redick. “The Lakers likely will explore the trade market to see what type of veterans they can add to give LeBron James, Anthony Davis and new coach J.J. Redick the best chance of competing this season, with NBA names such as Dejounte Murray and Collin Sexton being batted around by rival teams as possible targets.”

Utah has a surplus of draft picks in this class that rival executives believe are readily available on the trade market as the Jazz attempt to upgrade the roster. Promising European youngsters will gather in Malaga from May 31 to June 3. The joint effort between the NBA and FIBA combines with FEB, the Spanish Basketball Federation, to bring the 21st Basketball Without Borders Camp to the Andalusian city. We finally got confirmation on how big James is exactly. He measured at 6-foot-1 1/2 without shoes, with a 6-7 1/4 wingspan and an 8-2 1/2 standing reach. It’s important to remember that colleges list players’ heights in shoes. While the Trojans added an extra inch to Bronny’s height, they didn’t drastically oversell it. On top of that, NBA teams were working under the assumption that James was in the ballpark of 6-2 anyway. James’ standing reach puts him much more in the ballpark of point guard as opposed to that of a combo or shooting guard. Past players to post an 8-2 1/2 standing reach at the combine include Bruce Brown, Collin Sexton, Terry Rozier and Avery Bradley.
